At My Aspiration Spa, certain post-operative wellness services cannot be performed unless we receive appropriate surgeon clearance provided by the client. These requirements help ensure services are delivered responsibly, safely, and within the scope of non-medical wellness support.
Why Surgical Clearance Is Required
Surgical clearance helps to:
Ensure safe wellness support around drains, sutures, and healing tissue
Confirm surgeon approval before post-operative wellness services
Reduce the risk of complications during recovery
Protect surgical outcomes and healing progress
Establish appropriate timing for post-operative care
While My Aspiration Spa provides non-medical wellness services only, post-operative recovery requires careful coordination with your licensed medical provider.
Required Documents Before Your First Post-Op Visit
1. Surgeon Discharge Instructions
Mandatory
Clients must provide official discharge instructions from their surgeon. Documentation must include:
- Procedure performed
Date of surgery
- Recovery instructions
Activity restrictions or limitations
These instructions help ensure services align with your surgeon’s guidance.
2. Written Clearance for Post-Operative Wellness Services
Required for Applicable Services
We require explicit written confirmation that you are cleared to receive specific post-operative wellness services.
Acceptable formats include:
- Email from your surgeon or medical office
- Signed clearance form
- Screenshot or written message from your surgeon
Clearance must clearly state authorization for services such as:
- Post-operative lymphatic massage
- Drain-related wellness support
- Incision-area wellness care
- Dressing support or monitoring
My Aspiration Spa does not interpret, modify, or override surgeon instructions.
3. Medication & Complication Notes
If Applicable
Clients should provide any additional information related to recovery, including:
- Drain output or monitoring instructions
- Infection risk notes
- Known complications or sensitivities
- Special conditions (e.g., seromas, fibrosis concerns)
This information supports safe and informed wellness care.
Services That Require Clearance
Clearance is required before providing wellness support related to:
- Drain-related services
- Suture-related services
- Dressing changes or incision-area wellness care
- Post-operative lymphatic massage
- JP drain wellness support
- Incision cleaning or monitoring
- Ultrasound-based fibrosis wellness support
All services remain non-medical and are provided only within appropriate wellness boundaries.
If You Arrive Without Clearance
For your safety, services cannot proceed without proper documentation.
- Appointment will be rescheduled
- No exceptions will be made
- This policy protects both the client and provider
